Looking for an older version of Aces High (AH1)
« on: November 25, 2008, 02:48:07 PM »
Trying to make a film, problem is the .ahf file is an AH1 film. If anyone has the setup for an older AH1 I would appreciate it. Email is kjetil@suddenlink.net
If you need webspace, let me know and I'll create an FTP account for you to upload.

Regards.

I'm 99.5% sure that Widewing has a copy of AH1 -- I remember him saying that he's kept copies of old versions so he can compare flight modelling dynamics over time. If HTC can't help you out, consider giving Widewing a PM.

Probably needs Windows 98 to run right.  :rofl

Hey wait a second, I still have that OS!  :cry

I'll dig around my old disks, floppys not CD and see if I can find a copy.  In the meantime, check with skuzzmeister

Thanks Odee. Before I PM or email HTC, thought I would throw this out there. Any HTC staff have an older AH they would part with? My reason for wanting it is to make a film I promised a guy I would make. Only to find out, I can't make it because it's an AH1 .ahf file. Thanks in advance HTC.

Kjetil

go back in time to the Announcements board.

There's a few Beta versions of AH you can download. I think like Beta 54 or something like that I can't remember.

Edit: here's something I found:

That's not AH1, that's related to a new DirectX release or something.

I had a 'standalone' copy of AHI a while. back.. played it a couple of times just to compare it to AHII.  Didn't even need to install it.. just click it open.

Unfortunately, I don't have it anymore....

You won't need to reinstall it, the current version of Aces High installs the 'Aces High II' folder and the older versions create an 'Aces High' folder.
