well hello
i was just wondering if you could make an offline mission that could be used to practice attacking flights of bombers? not just one or two bomber groups, but a mixed bag of 50 or more 3 bomber groups flying in a reasonably tight defensive formation. it would be a great practice tool for those who want to learn how to engage and destroy massed bomber flights with the 262, 263, 152, P51 ect.
i have and fly your winter break out campain, i love it! i think if you applied the same mass attack tactics to a massive bomber invasion that had multiple land targets across a big map with a multitude of bases along the way that the player can land at, rearm and re-up from. this would give the effect of a rolling and chasing battle that lasted through alot of flights. that way the pilot could engage the bombers and providing he wasn't killed, he could land rearm and then reengage the bombers many times before the mission was over. or he could reengage the bombers that have dropped their ords already and have broken off from the group to return home. these would be the easier targets to engage being in a much smaller group and not possessing the massive defensive fire that 40 or 50 formations have.
or on the flip side if someone wanted to fly in the bomber formation they could fly any style bomber formation, be given a target package selected randomly or engage multiple targets the player picked from a list of targets on the bombers intended route. this would be great practice for learning how to fly a bomber on a mission in a group of formations with multiple targets across a vast area while being attacked by defending fighters through out the flight. then after the player had dropped his ords on all of his targets he would have the daunting task of flying his way home without having the benefit of the entire bomber formation to act as protection.
well just a thought,
