I would like some input regarding effective views while dogfighting.
For just a simple example, in a basic 1 on 1, what views to you use most, and when?
Short answer: which ever view needed to keep visual on the bogey
in a 1 vs 1, the most important views will always be the:
default forward
forward up 45 deg
up
backward up 45 deg
back views
with secondary views being left and right
when looking at your opponent in a different view than default forward, what you want to focuse on is the opponents plane in relation to your viewing center and if he is gaining on your six o'clock or whether you are gaining on his! meaning is he moving closer to the front part of the up or front part of the forward up 45 degree view or is he moving back toward the edge of the up view, back up 45 view?
same situation/scenario can be used for any view/head position
hope this helps
