Since the goal of this event is to breathe some life into the AvA I have been pitching this event to the squad as an all night fun fest. We really wont be just opposing this mission per-say. Our plan is to be in the arena going about the day to day business of being an Italian fighter squad. We will be patrolling in general just like we have no idea this is coming. If the mission ups and we are on the ground we will have a mad scramble to respond. If we are up patrolling we will vector to the scene of the crime. In no way will we be attempting to gain an advantage on this raid, such as being camped out at high alt waiting for it. I prefer the fog of war effect, like I say our goal is to pretend we know nothing about it. Then respond to this threat.
Our squad members are not real big on "events" that require sitting in a briefing room for an hour. Frankly neither am I. That is one of the main flaws in "events", you wait and wait and wait so you can die once and then your part in the "event" is over. That is one reason I am excited about what you are trying to do here.
My goal is to assit in helping you in giving the AvA some much needed CPR and to give some "color" to the night. Let me re-state we will in no way make any preparations against this raid. I am going to remove all clocks from the computer room so I have no idea what time it is. I'd like to see this mission come marching out of the fog of war, much to our surprise. Then we shall attempt help our German brothers in arms attempt to repel this threat. Our goal is to battle all night in the AvA pre and post mission.
If anything I have said is objectionable to you guys please let me know. I am open to all ideas and suggestions. Thank you for turning on the C.202's.
