I'd have a better chance in running into a Dodo Bird in the middle of rush hour, walking down the I-5 with two hookers in tow before I see a useful post from glock89- Ack-Ack

damn right! When it comes to 'misshun!!' time, i hope alot more people will consider carpet bombing airfields with no strat in mind, just littering the enemy base from 10,000ft and laughing till you can't see any more.
The 'kill the hangers' type of mission or base capture in general is not about fighting, just military domination through excesive force. Realistic, but not that fun.
We also flew a patrol of mustangs around for 20 minutes waiting for a big enough dar bar to hit, and we were rewarded for not vulching and ganging by finding an enemy mission to intercept far to the north.
And I don't know much, but I do know this. With a golden heart comes a rebel fist.

We soooooooooo need something better to do with heavy bombers than sledge-hammer-to-kill-gnat style base shutdowns.
"Crikey, sir. I'm looking forward to today. Up diddly up, down diddly down, whoops, poop, twiddly dee - decent scrap with the fiendish Red Baron - bit of a jolly old crash landing behind enemy lines - capture, torture, escape, and then back home in time for tea and medals."

well if strat meant more, there would be...

make it so that taking a ammo factory to 0% disables all ord in that zone.. taking a radar factory down to 0% eliminates dot dar in that zone, take fuel to 0%, and you can only take 25% from any base in that area... etc

then also make those strat targets resupplyable like the HQ...  there..  now you have a target worth attacking, and worth defending..   it means alot to shut it down but it can be brought back up provided people make the effort to do so... problem solved..

Oh wait..

people who want to take off, furball, die.. over and over again dictate the game..   the outcry from the furballs because they cant take off with 75% fuel in their LA7 to furball half a sector away will be insane, sure they could probably mosey over to the nearest strat and get into a good fight, but thats almost a whole sector away and furballers are buisy people.
