While the 1GB memory is nice, I believe these are slower than the 512's.

Not to be a d*** here but while it may be slower I would almost bet on it that 99% of the people playing AH or any other game really don't care if it is slower or can really tell a difference. Besides for that price I am picking one up today to go into my son's rebuild that I am doing for Christmas.

For those that don't want to break the bank and game at lower resolutions the GeForce 9500 GT is a sure to play the current game titles, but you'll have to keep an eye on the settings as to reach smooth frame rates you'll have to tone it back to medium in some games."

Then again the 9600 GT is almost $100.

yup...they cannot give away the 9500 cards. Nobody is  buying them due to lack of performance. $80 gets ya ATI 4650

I think the point that BaldEagl was making is that for lowend monitor users (low resolution) there isnt a benefit to be seen at all using anything faster. A 4850 doesnt even start to get its stride until it is set for a higher resolution than 1280x1024 and if thats the native resolution for your monitor you wont gain a thing even if its just $5 more.

$40 after rebate was a good find.
