Multiple gunners on bombers
« on: December 03, 2008, 08:47:20 AM »
I know this has been posted already but how about the advent of maybe having 2-3 gunners on bombers vs only 1. There isn't any thing more annoying than when you are in f6 mode and your gunner is defending from 1 point and another plane comes from the opposite way and shoots you down... just a thought.

If you knew this wish has been posted already, then you should also know the reasons why we don't have multiple gunners on bombers.  If you don't, then the Search feature is a wonderful little tool that you can use to find the answer.

I'm ok with it, as long as they eliminate formations.

You could have multiple gunners in HT's Warbirds 10 years ago.

I'd be all for it as long as there were no more drone formations and no slaved guns.

You could have multiple gunners in HT's Warbirds 10 years ago.

You could in AW too 12-13 years ago but there were no drones, the pilot couldn't gun his own plane and there were no slaved guns.  If you wanted a fully armed B-17 you took off with a pilot and 6 gunners taking 7 guys out of the game to arm one death star (so called for their ability to fly through furballs tearing everything up).

Yep, but they were also prone to warping and lagging.  Which is why we don't have deathstars in this game.

You can.

But they can't be on the same plane.  For example, the pilot can jump on the guns on the plane he's flying but the gunner can't jump to the pilots plane so they can man two guns.

You also had Sgt Otto sitting in the back with his laser beams of death. I prefer 1 gunner, thanks.  :D
Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.
