Flying against Rogent and Yenny - me in a la5 (I think), Rogent in a p40 and cant remember what Yenny was in - got my backside handed to me muchly, but had a lot of fun doing so. This was a down in the weeds, turn n burn fight also, none of this high alt bnz stuff either.

There has been so many over the years that its hard to find one that sticks out.

Top spot would prolly go to one of the scenarios where i was in a G14 as scout and after reporting the HUGE buff formation with escort i was running out of game time so i entered the fight. Never expecting to survive i actually did and landed my 109 with more holes than i could count and a dead engine. I belive i got 4 bombers and 2 p51s plus a love for the G14.

I've had some great fights the best ones are when your never expecting them i remember a series of great k4 fights in ma with platano i was upping from a heavily capped field and spotted a k4 not joining in with the vulchfest and made a beeline for him once we were a bit away from the field he slowed down and let me climb up too his 6. At this stage i was thinking easy meat  :lol I caught on pretty fast from the way he started flying he was no amatuer  :rofl then we went into rolling scissors for like 5 mins gradually losing alt after that fight we met up for about 6 or 7 more away from the main fight and if anyone jumped in the other disengaged. Plats a great stick with an excellant attitude  :salute
More recently the fight againest blshar k4 v p38 was of truely epic proportions really got the adrenaline going  :D grea stick and one of the nicest guys you'll meet  :salute

Best fights I ever had were last night in the DA with Dedalos, batfinkv, RaIn, and a few others.
Great fights guys <S>

those were fun grizz S!, too many night like that to remember. I think my most enjoyable fights have mostly come from dueling friends in the DA. Some from the MA get lost in time. One i do remember well is my p47 vs Vudak's 109, a long time back. It was the first time we met in the game and ended with repeat fights in the da for the hell of it. Nothing could be the greatest though, as that would only take away from all the other great fights.
And I don't know much, but I do know this. With a golden heart comes a rebel fist.

today in LWO. i was defending a base in an il2, had an M3 in town, and couldn't quiet get there in time... anyway, RT Bish horde took base, and i got into a fight with a spitfire (Wingnutt, <S> sir, nice flyin btw) and saw an FM2 jump in, i reversed Wingnutt, came around for the Fm2, and sure enough back came wing. they both saddled up my 6, i dumped full flaps, pull into a barrel roll, watch em fly under me, i come down and see 2 cons right in front of me. couldnt pop em though...saw a F4U1D come screamin in...had to make him overshoot...same deal, full flaps and barrel roll. lost sight of wing for a moment, and he came in and popped me. <S> Wing, FM2 and F4U1D, fun fight!

Yesterday in MWP, got into a fight with a P51B, got his 6, and a p38 came in, reversed 38, another rook came and popped the 38, then the P51. P51 was Steel. Steel and i met again bout 3 minutes later, got low and slow 1-1, finally he gave me a nice big profile;finished him there. <S> Steel, another fun fight sir.

too many too list really.......

some that really stand out is:
  • a fornever ending F4U-1 (me ) vs Ki-84 ( maha ) that last 10 minutes in the AvsA
  • a KOTH final round fight in C202's vs ManeTMP
  • a fight while I was winging with NB ( NoBaddy ) me in a F4U , NB in a C205 and we were fighting NathBDP in a 109G series & couple others if I remember correctly
  • winging with DmdDano in the 2vs2 dueling ladder that sourkruat(<--spelling) used to host for the Aces High community
  • fighting Balsy's F6F while I was in a F4U-1 on the mandanoa map
  • whole bunch of fights flying with Damned Squadmates in numerous scenarios/FSO's/regular arenas

I am sure their will be many many more great fights to come and fill my memorys..........

Bumped into DanoDano whilst flying an F4U-4, and he was in a Tempest. After a sweat drenched 4 or 5 minutes where we actually gained alt, I landed a canopy snapshot and got a very gracious salute. I was then bounced by 4 (good) guys who'd upped to help Dano. They slowly dragged me down to the deck and I picked them off one by one, all the while being given PMed warnings and hints from Dano about my gangers intentions. I've never been on my game to that extent ever since. Not have I ever received that kind of old school consideration since. Dano could have picked me at any time.

One of the best/most intense fights I can still remember was my War Mission #7 on 08-Oct-2002:

http://www.virtualpilots.fi/LLv34/dbman/db.cgi?db=ah&uid=default&view_records=1&name=BlauKreuz&ww=1&stamp=%3E1&sb1=3&so1=descend&sb2=4&so2=descend

Wmaker, Camouflage and Snefens who were flying that same mission seem to agree in their reports :) (small red links)

What made it memorable was that while in fight we were almost sure none of us would make it back home, but in the end we all did rtb.

There have been so many great 1v1's that I can't mention tham all as I would miss someone I'm sure.

2 big finds that stick out tho...

BatfinkV and I were winging one night in HurriIIc's and had a brand new 2 day squaddie with us in a spit. We were headed to a base and ran into 12 Tempests and a NIK. Our new squaddie died first pass. (Hoing a tempy is NOT smart)....meanwhile Batfink and I killed 11 of the 12 Tempests and the NIK and the temp that got away was smoking.

SYSTEM: BatfinkV landed 7 victories in a HurriIIc of 71 Squadron RAF Eagles
SYSTEM: RedTop landed 5 victories in a HurriIIc of 71 Squadron RAF Eagles

Another was when Batfink and I were RTB from a fight...both having a couple or more pelts. We were in D40's and were low on fuel not ammo. Our Base was flashing and we decided to check before landing. Low and behold we came across an NOE 109 raid. There were about 15 109's. We killed all of them except for 2 or 3. I can't even remember the kill totals....all I know is we were both banged up...zeroed out on ammo counters and barley landing on fumes when we finally did.

I've fought the best pilots in the game....and lost almost everytime. Alot of them though were some of the best fights ever even tho I lost.

About every fight I've had with Creton. btw...it usually ends with me in the tower :aok
I second that! He was a beast in that K4! I have had some excellent fights it's almost impossible for me to narrow it down to a few!
Some of my best however have been against both Agent360 and Airfool, but the one that sticks out was a 15 min duel Vs. AirFool Him in a 109F4 and ME in my Emil 'O Doom form about 10K all the way down to flying to under tree canopies and in between the blades of windmills! what a fight! the Little brother (Emil) Prevailed over its newer sibling but not without much struggle!

yaknow?

i didn't have an answer to this one. look in the midwar arena thread. it wasn't long, or very special, but it was me in a 38G vs snaphook in an SBD. i lost, for all intents and purposes, but i won at the same time. i managed to limp my crippled 38 back to the runway, and almost crashed on landing from the PW.
what made this fight memorable, was hte 20 minutes of chat on open channel afterwards. snap, very nicely, took that time to explain to me what i could've done differently, how he managed to get me the way he did, and never once put me down, or trash talked me. THAT made that a memorable fight.

Right when the updated F4Us first came out we got into a pretty good, very tense looping fight my 1A vs your 1D. Flap dumping, rudder flops, a couple extensions out to around 800yds or so to look each other over. Surprised the hell out of me when I finally got that one good shot in and saw who it was.

Had kind of a funny fight about 3 camps ago. I was in an F4U over our radarless cv looking down for bombers. Just circling and circling. Darn me I almost ran smack dab into another enemy F4U4 looking down for uppers. He was less than 2k away. We must have seen each other about the same time. We got into then! Yanking those sticks diving, Skidding. Doing zero G ACMs. I pinged him a hair but not enough to take him out. Apparently the puffy ack got him. Puffy ack loves perk planes. Heck my own puffy ack about took my perk ride out. If I recall correctly I believe it was Nicet.
