F-18 Crashes

Around 12:05pm pst The pilot ejected and parachute landed safely in a tree near a base ball field. The ejection pod hit a house and the plane hit and destroyed 2 holmes. The new's reports he was on approach to Miramar on the back course.

The P-400 was actually described as "A P-40 with a Zero on it's tail."

I'm glad the pilot made it out ok.  Hope everyone on the ground is well.

Thank god no one was injured. Adonai is safe and sound, but will be on KP duty for the next 6 months.  :D

There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

All Adonai ribbing aside (which he deserves), I'm glad all are safe and noone was hurt.   Looks like the pilot did the best he could to minimize collateral damage as it were.

The Pilot was on training exercize on the Abe Lincoln 100 miles out after take off he lost an engine and went to emergency land at Miramar when he lost the second engine and had to scoot.

Update:

A Grandmother, mother and 2 grandkids are unaccounted for

there were 2 victims
and 2 still missing
