If we can get a staff member in the arena that night to move one or two of the fleets to 8.13 sector so the allies don't have to climb out in CV ack.

One fleet so moved.  Good luck.

Sadly, the "Pacific Setup Curse" killed the mission.  :(

Had to leave work as soon as I moved the fleet, didn't log on until the mission was over.  What happened?

Two TBMs, Five SBDs, and one escort F4F who came in as we were diving in on the CV vs five A6Ms.

We had a few problems this week. First being that TBMs can only launch from midway they had to fight there way to our CVs to met up with the SBDs. Second was I made the mistake of telling the SBDs to take 25% fuel thinking that would be enough when it wasn't. And last that the only people that knew what was going on was 353rd, JG54 and a few others. Everyone else were asking "when the mission start"? "Whats this about a mission?" and so on over and over. Then when the mission rolls they are no where to be found while some are repeatably asking the same questions even after they were told what was happening.

Hopefully we can get a setup next week that will have American heavies. Better then that maybe a fin-rus setup where we can have a GV mission.

I was your one f4f, I was going to follow the TBMs but a couple A6M's at Midway slowed me down. I should have took off from the cv.

Yea if we would have had TBMs from CVs it would have worked. The F4Fs woulldnt have stayed over midway dogfighting zeros as the TBMs tryed to get away.

I hadn't noticed when I went into the AvA Wednesday, but was anything in the MOTD about the setup, other than the usual MOTD?
