A Long December Frame 1 Results

Ladies and Gentlemen, here are the scored results from frame 1.

Looks like the Allies were able to do the most damage to its Primary airfield Objectives, which gave them a significant lead in points. I included the Battlefield objective scoring, but I did not add it to the overall score. As mentioned previously, the Battlefield objective scoring will not be added until after the end of frame 3. So there is plenty of ground to be made up.

I also included a list of all successful landings that occurred in Aircraft, good job for returning safely.

Out of curiosity, was there a reason the Bf-110G and Ju-88 were left off the Axis plane set? While both are thoroughly out-classed by the American Iron in the air, they would have REALLY helped even things out, as the Axis is operating at a significant disadvantage in air-to-ground capability.

All allied plane carried at least 2k ords where the 190's 1k ords.

of course it would be expected that the axis would not do as much air to ground attack as the allies due to this plane set.

True Chappy, but imagine if the Allies DID hold on to both Saint-Vith and Bastogne, that would be 1000pts to the Allies (not including extra bases). IMO, the CMs made the battle close to Saint-Vith so the Axis COULD capture it quickly and "balance" the scoring. The main reason Axis did not win the ground battle was because of the 4 GV bases lost. 
P.S. Saint-Vith DID fall to the Axis during the Bulge, that, and its a major crossroad, so that is why its probably worth so much.

Just looking at "level" bombers, between the B-26s and A-20s which have a MINIMUM requirement of 24, they out-carry the 24-max Ar-234s by a significant margin (~192,000lbs of ordinance for the Allies vs ~79,200 on the Arados).

Plus the fact that the 190F is limited to 1500lbs max, none of the other Axis fighters carry even THAT much, and all the Allied fighters carry a minimum of 2000lbs, some of them approaching 4000lbs.

I'm making do with what I have, but I'd be interested in the decision-making process behind the plane set.

Man, I guess reality sucks. 

The plane set is authentic.  The 110 and Ju88 were not used in daylight offensive operations during this battle.  The Stuka, Ju88 and 110 were used for interdiction at night against ground convoys weather permitting.

The 262 was not used in such numbers as the design allows in the fighter mode, their units had been withdrawn from combat.  Those that were available were the bomber variant and in low quanities at the end of the campaign.

There were only 12ish KG76 234s available as well.

Just want to point out if you go the realism route that we shouldn't be flying at all, since the weather virtually eliminated air operations for the part of the campaign being covered.

Just a quick query on the number of Ar234s shot down, the score seems to read only one?  I just did a quick count and came up with nine.  I know BearKats and I shot down one each.
