http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGySzGADQBoSometimes when I go out to a bar (Which is seldom), I will play this song and Whiskey Boot Hill / Country Girl. Almost always a young couple will ask me who is that. They are shocked when I tell them.
This version of Lee Shore is done by someone else but I thought she did a great job. It seems a very popular remake. Still I like the harmonies of CSNY better on 4 Way Street. Which is on my Brothers CD. He probably has it but he has had Country Girl for decades and never knew it was on the Deja Vu album.
I've also included John Hiatt's "Slow Turning", "Taxi" by Harry Chappin, "Treetop Flyer" by Stephen Stills, "Is it like today" by World Party (Took me years to remember that song) and several more. If any body has some suggestions from the same Genre please contribute. I wanted another song by John Hiatt but could not find it. It had something "Blue" in it. I looked all over for it on Itunes. Also there's a song about "Independence Day on Lincoln Avenue. I couldn't find that one either. I may add some John Prine too.
Again please feel free to contribute. I'm trying to find the good stuff that is a little off from what is over played.
