Are you sure that Iranian is a chick and not the dude from The Crying Game?

ack-ack

She kinda reminds me of the chick from Total Recall.

The Iranian chick looks like she has a little butt in her forehead on the first 3 pics.

Also anyone else notice how big her eyes are.  :O

Don't let Ramzey get you down man, he's Polish and doesn't understand the meaning of the word "tact".  He's also a darn good photographer, so ignore the (probably) unintended nastiness and accept it as constructive criticism.

Just so you know, he did the same thing to me when I posted some kitchen reno shots and he wasn't all wrong on what he said...it is just the way he says it sometimes.

:salute  I don't sweat the small stuff brother, but thanks for the kind words.  Personally, until the Pole shows us some of his work....... I don't really care much about what he says.  It's easy for a tough guy to be like that on the web.  After 5 replies though, you'd figure he'd back up the crap he's talking with a photograph or two.

Now, on a separate note...... Creepy?  Well, depends how you look at it.  For instance...  I could have put up some shots of men walking down the street... But I highly doubt that anybody would be interested seeing those.  The creepy idea then makes any PJ anywhere, creepy.  But forget the journalistic aspect of it, let's just call it what it is..... Candid Street Photography.  Shooting the salt of the Earth.  Finding the real people with real emotion.  And let's not kid ourselves..... YOU ALL DO IT.  With your cute little camera phones, don't lie!  And, quite honestly, there is a fine line between the art of candid shooting and voyeur photography.  The candid community does not try and shoot up some girls skirt, that is, first of all, illegal, and second, an invasion of privacy.  The street shooter looks for emotion in the subject, captures a pretty smile, records the non-verbal between husband and wife........  That's the candid art form.

Not to mention the fact that if the Pole was a photog, in a metropolitan area, she'd know that she could be doing the paparazzi route with regular people.  (NYC - we charge $1200.00 for a 4 hour follow... And that is actually cheap)  People, these days, pay money to have a photog follow them around and take candid style shots of them.  Makes them feel special or some crap, I'm really not sure.  I have had people go up to my client and ask for their autograph.  LOL

Did I mention I am still waiting for a sample of your great work ramzey?  Come on girl, don't make me wait.

And oh yeah.......  dust........  Why on earth would I care about retouching images that would never be sold or used for anything else then trying to make a few AH'ers happy with viewing?  Unlike you, I work.  Unlike you, I leave the house.

SORRY SORRY......... I'm done with being a jerk.

Ramzey.... In a nutshell....  You can think/type anything your heart desires.  In the end, your critique does not effect my bottom line.  And quite honestly, I doubt you shoot... Until you show me of course!

Love You!!!   :rock

I wish i knew what GWC stood for so i knew why ramzey is offending you  :uhoh

side note i'm a bit of a photographer myself, nothin fancy but being here in florida you get alot of good natural things to take pictures of, sunsets, gators, osprey, eagles, doplphins, manatees, etc etc.

It's a term used on sites like Model Mayhem.... Guy With Camera.  With the advent of digital technology there are alot of people out there claiming to be pro photog's.

The abbreviation I used... PJ..... Photo Journalist.

And don't kid yourself bro, whether you realize it or not, you get fancier every time you go out.  You might read an article on DPReview and want to go try something new. You might have a convo with some shooter at the same event and gives you insight on something new.  I've been shooting for a little over 20 years and I can honestly say every day is a day that I get a little better, maybe a little different, perhaps even a subtle change in the theories/styles I use in photography.

The important thing as any type of professional artist (or even those who do it as a hobby) is to continue to try something new and expand your borders.  IMO, you stop being an artist when you find one way to produce your 'art' the same way over and over again.  *See Terry Redlin sunset paintings

As a graphic designer, I'm always trying to find inspiration wherever I look.  That being another artist's work, or common day things in life.
