I'm all for the M18/M10. WE NEED SOME AMERICAN ARMOR DAMMIT

Too bad noone bothered to try fielding dual-barreled tank guns. would have been AWESOME.

If you thought about it, no it would not be.  There are plenty of reasons no one ever did so.

The M-10/M-4 combo would be a more usable variation. While i'd love to see the M-18 for scenario/MWA use the "stock" sherman/M10 would be great.

Nobody has brought up the m26 yet...... That might be the best idea for adding American armor that could compete with the Tiger's of the world.

Gotta love the Pershing!   :aok

What attracted me to the M-18 was the fact that THIS is the burning vehicle that Audie Murphy jumped in to win his Medal of Honor.

Hmm.  I always thought it was an M10.

Regarding the "Panther first" cries... the M18 would bring another angle to the game (fast, good gun, light/med armor).  The Pzr V would just be another tank.

The M18 or M10 would be vulnerable to MG/cannon attack from the air just like the Whirlwind, Eastwind, M16, M3, and 251, but it would be almost immune to MG fire from the ground (still much better armored than the M8).  However, I dont think you can look upon the 37mm or field ack as an annoyance like you can while in a Tiger or other such tank.

since i haveen't figured out how to make a post yet i'll start with a re-play post....an m-18 would be good for a fast light armor tank destroyer....also I'd like to call some attn. to the m-5 a5 fighting tank it was i believe introdueced towards the end of ww2 and didn't get much attn it was built for aa and anti personel purposes I believe it also had flame-thrower capability...another wish is for infantry assualt possibilties...it would make for an awsome ground war.

I like the M-18 because it has the gun to deal with the Sherman and Tiger, the speed to do base defense, but lacks the armor to withstand any sort of air assault or airfield gun.  It would change the strategy without being an uber-weapon.

You're right. Murphy won his MoH while shooting from an M-10.

Oh well.  Another reason to bring in either the M-10 or M-18!

M18 and M10, an american M4, M3 (maybe)? then go with a stug or the panther....then how about some brit tanks like the cromwell, crusader, and the churchill???
