What driver should I get?

Okay, so I'm no computer savvy person, so I don't have the slightest idea on which video drivers I could get to improve my gaming experience... I currently have the driver that came with the computurd (NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430)

I have about $150 I am willing to spend on a video driver... but I don't know what to get... 

Any help here?

You have a built in vid card, same as I do. Forget drivers for that, you need a real vid card. I assume you have a PCI express machine. If that is the case go to Best buy or your choice of stores and look for a GE Force 9800 GTX. That's the most bang for the buck unless you want to spend more than a couple hundred. That's the card I am looking to get right after Christmas. I hope it will drop just a bit more in price then.

I have NO IDEA what computer I have...

These video cards... do you install them onto a disk or something? 

I have a vista... I know that much... HP Pavilion slim line I believe... 




Also I've been having some major lag issues... framerate dropped a little bit too, with lowest quality, but my ping is in the 100's to 200's when I play Battlefield 2, when just last night it was in the 30's.  I disconnected from my wireless internet and it still had minor changes (which is what I did last night and it worked wonderfully) 

I expect I just have a bunch of crap that needs getting rid of on this computer...

I am guessing by "Video Driver" you mean "Video card aka GPU".  Driver normally refers to the software needed to run the card.

I would suggest posting in the Hardware forums for help.  They will need Current PC specs (includes CPU/Motherboard/Power Supply Unit).

Without those specs, it's hard to give much help.

Go to "Run>DxDiag" and post a good bit of it.

I take it you have one of the real skinny table top HP's correct? Or is it a lap top?

Either way you may be SOL. You need to find out if you even have an expansion slot in the thing for a card and what card will fit if there is a slot.

Video cards or hardware.  They are physical cards that you insert in your computer (open the case).

Yup if you have a slimline you may not have a expansion slot open. If you have a PCIe slot open your going to be able to get a card in there that should help. Most any card with an on-board processor would be an improvement. I'm partial to ATI's card.
