The Greatest Moment of Rook Glory
« on: December 18, 2008, 12:47:17 AM »
Our boy, skpg, was carrying 63 unanswered kills.

But he got dinged at Bish A84. So he flopped in the water.

So the great Rook heroes of the Universe went and captured A84.  Boom!  Boom!

Nice work Rooks.  Skpg walked away with all his kills.

Rooks be the best.

Pretty cool. Did he land them? Is it possible to ditch out of your plane and walk your pilot to the concrete on a friendly base and land kills?

How'd he land kills in the water? was he in a GV?

Let's clarify here.  It was a 63 kill streak that was saved, not 63 kills in one mission.  Well done everyone who participated.

Wow.  I just don't have the patience to do something like that. 2 kills and go land. I'll either do something stupid, like get bored and try deacking a large field, or attack bombers from dead 6, or auger in a rolling, looping fight too close to the ground.
I find it very difficult to go land if I still have ammo, or if no ammo, someone needs a distraction and I still have gas.  Actually, I just find it difficult to land.  Screwed up enough landings lately with kills where I do a S.A.P.P. landing and get a ditch.

<S> to your patience

Obviously he does not enter furballs unless he is diving through and zooming. Making a run like that is not so hard but you'll be timid as all get out.

How many of his fellow bait buddies had to die for him to survive all that time..... :lol

Dads, I ran mine up to 35 one camp and not one person was used for bait. But all, every single one was a pick. Not one fight in the bunch. Most were buffs. Still though the luck factor was there. For instance, I upped a p51 and was lone wolfing it. I saw some low b24s so I inned them and lightly pinged all three. The buff driver then turned too sharp and gave me 2 instant kills. I figured the guy was new so I sat on his 6 and wailed away on his last buff. Then I head to sea where our cv was flashing, all on the same sortie. Saw a formation of ki's and had the same thing happen. The whole camp was that way. Then in the next camp 2 of the my first 3 sorties ended when I crashed into a set of buffs.   :rofl Then there are trees to crash into and buildings and killshooters. So my hats off to Skpd.

However Dads, there are many players who see their countrymen as bait and you may be right. I'm withholding that judgement on SKPD at this time.  :salute

I'll just say I saw SKPG under us in the middle of a furball outnumbered 2 to 1 when he went down, turnin and burnin.
