Sure,they were around in formula 1 in mid 80's.

Umm correct me if I'm wrong... 900 is less than 1000?

Key word there, WERE.  And the litre per HP is irrelevant given the 2 drastically different natures of the motorsports we're talking about.

That Norwegian Trans Am is about a tenth the cost of McLaren.  Now we're talking value per litre.  Top that.

Anyone who would take a Trans Am over a McLaren F1 needs their head read...and I don't even really like F1's (I prefer cars made in Maranello)

I didn't.  The Norwegians did.  And if I had my pick I'd still pick the TA.  But, I'll take the F1 if you're going to pay the maintenance on it.

It held a top speed record for over a decade.Priced at £600,000 (about $1,000,000) when new in 1994, the McLarenF1 is one of the few supercars that have gone up in value while still nearly new, and it is extremely unlikely that we'll ever see these cars depreciate.
If any other car will hold that reccord as long as this one,it will be remembered.
Trans Am?SSC?I don't think so.
