Ive ed photoshop before, but didnt want to buy it for screenies, downloaded Gimp. figured "ahh, this will be just lke photoshop" when i first opened it. got to playin with it, and it isnt  :cry could someone tell me how to use it for screenies? i know how to get the screenies there, i just cant figure out how to erase things. help?

i should say erase larger sections. like you grab somethin with the loop tool (or whatever its called) then erase the whole section thats outlined

Goto the AH Film viewer or a screenshot get the screenie. Put it in Paint and Press Ctrl+V then PrintScreen then save it to a file and u should be good. Then just up load it to photobucket and get the IMG code and copy paste  :aok

Alright. I get what you're saying I guess. It doesn't take to much experimentation to figure out but whatever, I'm in a light mood.

Recently, against my better judgment, I installed a nasty, terrible virus on my computer. You can see it in this screenshot.


I'm going to get rid of it (kinda ;) ) with GIMP, cleanly without destroying the rest of my desktop.

First I'll zoom in on the virus. You can use the zoom thingie, or you can just combine Ctrl and the scroll wheel on your mouse. I prefer the latter.
I'm going to use the rectangle selection tool to... drumroll... select it.


Now that we have this nasty little bugger targeted, I can ready my weapon of choice. You can press Shift+E to bring up the eraser or press the button on the menu thingie. I prefer the former. I've selected the 19 pixel circular brush thing, and scaled it up to 10 for even more efficient virus killing.


Click of the mouse, and, poof, problem solved.




Fighter Ace sucks.
