AH is way better than FA. Download it and see why. I  have a feeling that after about 5 minutes of their offine flying you will remove it.

Not very impressed with what I can see in all areas but one aspect.
It also happens to be AH greatest weakness as a game
Strat
Seems to have a superior strat systm then AH.
LOL then again IMO just about any strat system would be better as it would open a new dimension in the game that doesnt currently exist in any real meaningful way

Is this the same Fighter Ace from like 1997-99 era? I played it on a 56k dialup connex and it was cool then. Looks the same so prolly not too fun now.

Apparently, one in five people in the world are Chinese. And there are five people in my family, so it must be one of them. It's either my mum or my dad. Or my older brother, Colin. Or my younger brother, Ho-Chan-Chu. But I think it's Colin. - Tim Vine.

Rgr that Drediock. The strat system they have had in place was seriously good even back 10 years ago. You had to protect the various factories and bases in order to actually have AI ground troops and then fighters or bombers to use at the bases.

It is a great sim.  One of my favorite!
Rock:  Ya see that Ensign, lighting the cigarette?
Powell: Yes Rock.
Rock: Well that's where I got it, he's my son.
Powell: Really Rock, well I'd like to meet him.
Rock:  No ya wouldn't.

that is the slightly older map dred the new ones strat system actually works like it should have the first time they tried it.

It is open week until the end of december.  Ctrl + 9 is the first thing you have to hit to expand the screen, the default view is pants.  After toying with it for an hour I got all my controls and settings right it don't look too bad.  As long as you pay no attention to the cockpits  :lol.  (You dont need to though because of the HUD and padlock).

AH is now vastly superior in terms of graphics, terrain and player #'s without even mentioning the flight model.  TBH I thought it would have died by now but they have hung in there.   They even modelled some korean jets, 2 migs, a B29  :O, meteor, None of which get used in any of the arenas with people in.

Nice to catch up with some old friends and play it for the FUN quick fights.  I think their customers love the fact that it is easy and simple.  I ended the night going 5 on 1 against USA planes in a Frank and giving them a free flying lesson.  It is a shame they removed the displaying of Aces feature I had some racked up in no time.  That was always good for target fixation  :t.

It is a fun game but very arcadey compared to AH.

it got stitched up when they left the microsoft gaming zone (late 2001).   Got to blame microsoft for selling it to those vr1/jaleco monkies who didnt improve anything bar letting loads of japanese players on the server (of which i had great fun with).

I tried AH1 back when they went from FA2.0 to 3.0 and thought it sucked compared to the newer version of FA.  Funny how things change.

The current version is the 10th anniversary.

I hate fighter ace... The cockpit views make me almost sick. When you look out the window at your plane's wing, it shows you why. I do have an old copy of Fighter Ace 2, THAT'S actually pretty fun.

Flew it several years ago, didn't care for the FM or the view system.
Got an email from them offering me free access until 1-9, tried it out
only because they had added a B-29. And before you ask, no nuke!
The first sortie reminded me how much of a piece of crap the game is
and I removed it from my system.

Their 109G-6 has the R2 modification, i.e. MW50 boost.
