takes 1 rd to take out the turret of a wirb/ost... after you can fire away at its dead turret all day long and will never kill it. hit it in the hull, and kill it outright. the m4 gun will do it, i assure you.

Currently the perked tanks are as readily available as the non-perked tanks, so the perk cost is redundant. Why bother?

That's my line of thought too, especially as getting perks is now so utterly easy with the Wirbelwind and his ENY of 25...

- but it sems not to be entirely true. It's still the unperked Panzer IV that is the most numerous tank around. If no one would have to worry about perks, it would probably not be that way. When the small perk was put on the Firefly (at that point tank #1), it's numbers in the AH2 battlefield were considerably reduced.

It'd not the stanard M4, it's equipped with a British Field Gun. It wasn't produced by the Americans because they didn't want foreign parts on their tanks
