Return of fso?
« on: December 25, 2008, 07:42:54 PM »
I was just wondering when FSO will return. I probably missed it somewhere but I figured I could ask here.
Thanks,

Not another Pacific event.  It has been a while since we have had a Mediterranean Theater in Italy.

I know who I'm putting a bounty on next tour. :p
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

And what does that have to do with me making a remark about your negativity towards the PTO?

Another event like the Rangoon FSO would be nice.  I do hope the developers really really really think about the planes they choose to ue for substitutes.  If a plane is not available, the sub should not be BETTER than the real thing.

Case in point: Battle of Britain and the Ju88's.  Far too many Ju88's were used.  An almost perfect sub He111 would have been the B25 w/ 250lb bombs, but instead they elected to go all out with the Ju88's.

I'm hoping whatever it is, a good mix of US and Aussie/NZ/British aircraft vs Jap.  Maybe even some mainland stuff away from the US Navy's reach.   :)

So far everything in the PTO over the last year has been either early war (Guadalcanal, Midway) or late (Okinawa, Tokyo). How about a nice late-43/early-44 setup (1As, P-38Gs, P-39Ds, etc).

The bounty was for you saying you didn't want to see another PTO setup, NOT as payback for being shot down.
