Thats a bummer!! Was looking forward to flying F-86s again!

Loved that game, was a flight sim mixed with RTS!  My 2 favorite types of games!!

Thanks Slash!

There is a Korean sim being developed right now. It is scheduled to release after BoB by 1C.

Considering I haven't seen any development news on SoW: BoB since the end of 2007 and MAYBE the beginning of 2008, I think that's going to be a long, LONG wait.

And I'm STILL waiting for a GOOD PTO sim. Pacific Fighters was a half-assed and glorified expansion.

If you look at the link I provided, there was an update last month.....

Well, I'll be waiting for opinions here before I shell out for it after the overwhelming disappointment of Il-2 in everything but the visuals department.

I hear ya there saxman!  There arent many flight sims anymore these days.  I remember in the late 90s early 2000 they were everywhere,  new ones coming out all the time.  But now days, its non-existent!

Would love to see a nice PTO flight sim!  Start the game just before Pearl Harbor when your in Training and work your way all the way up to dogfights over Japan.  Cover all the major battles!

But i personally loved Mig Alley!  Had to F-51, P-80,84,86 B-26/29s!  Nothing like flying up into Mig Alley with 36 other Sabers and getting jumped by 100 Mig-15s!  Gave ya an idea of what our boys had to fight against back then!!

Eagle,

I'd love to see a PTO sim that covers the period before American involvement, as early as the first Japanese bomber raids in the mid/late-30s.

Actually, I'd love to see a PTO SIM. Practically everything that gets released is set in Europe, and the closest we've had was Pacific Fighters which was half-assed and incomplete unless you bought all the other Il-2 sims and expansions. Linking the games the way they did was a nice idea, but the execution was HORRIBLE because the later releases could barely stand alone (ever tried to play one of the default campaigns in PF? HORRIBLE mission design, including enemy planes scripted to air-spawn ON YOUR SIX). I won't even go into the genericness of the flight modelling and how every plane flew the same, the awful gunnery, rediculous engine overheats, distracting and confusing audio radio communications, etc. etc. etc....

I'm hoping that a new modern day combat flight simulator will arise in the near future and revolutionize the industry, as AH2 is currently the only CFS worth playing!

Probably he checked it out to see which ideas worked and which didn't...I don't think he actually played it online for fun.

He obviously took away the wrong ideas.

If you compare number of players and sales, I would think Oleg did something right....
