I want to Salute eveyone that I have ever met in this game we Play.
I have accepted a position as Lead Project Manager for the Mapping of Middle Eastern Boundaries and GLONASS Specialist. This is a postion paramount to that of when I was 10 years old playing little league shortstop dreaming of playing for the Yankees.
My Father entered the United States Marine Corps in 1950, served proudly for his Country for 37 years. He earned his Doctorate in Psychology and became a Profiler for the O.N.I. He was nominated for the C.M.H. in 1964 for "Intelligence Against Communism", but never received any medals.
I asked him once about how he felt about being rejected for the medal, his reply was simple: "I did my job, and I sleep with peace every night".
I enlisted in the Marines in June of 1990 to make him proud, not for me. I was 18 and new nothing of combat, honor or what it was to fight for for "your country". I was sent to Kuwait to guard a people I never met or even gave a thought about. The only thing that cared about was getting home, to see him and tell my father that I "did my job".
I did get to tell him and his face lit up. He was proud that his son got to fight for his country. But I still do not sleep with peace.
I am 37 married with 2 children http://BBS.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,251388.MSG3095706.HTML#MSG3095706
After my duty ended I studied Physics, Geology, Trigonometry and earned a Masters in Physics. I hold Two Engineering degrees from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh for Robotics and Geodetic Surveying.
I know that most of you will read over this and skip to the next topic, but for me I leave on January 3, 2009 to reshape a country. I will not be carrying a weapon, I will not be there to end terrorism, I will not be there end suffering. I will be there to redefine history. To show people this is your home, here is where you live.
Playing this game I have met many people, some in passing, some on a regular basis. I have never shared any of my true self, but this I share to you now.
Find your peace, sleep well at night.
Hope to see you all in May 2009
