after you unplug it and plug it back in you MUST recalibrate it in windows first. Once windows has it set up right THEN do it in the games.

goto Start/settings/control panel/game controllers Select the controller, and click properties. you can test there, as well as calibrate.

Get a powered USB hub, and tape in the wires to the joystick and throttle.

Then, on the occasions when it does uncalibrate, unplug the JOYSTICK segment ONLY, plug it back in, and let it sit for ~10 seconds to allow it to auto-calibrate.

I have found that using NONE of the Saitek software helps reduce the number of uncalibrations a lot.

The X-52 CANNOT be manually calibrated in Windows (by any means I know of), since it automatically calibrates ITSELF, providing you leave it centred AFTER you plug it in.

OK I plugged X52 back in turned LED lights off Recalibrated and didn't work. When i look in Map controls or what ever it is to list the buttons it shows y-axis and X-axis and the x-axis numbers are jumping from 2000-3000 within seconds constantly back and forth. :furious

Unplug it and plug it back in with the computer on the lights on the throttle were the modes will not light up but that's OK.  It will use the windows driver. It will work fine except you cant use the wheels. I had the same dam problem a year ago and have been using it that way since with no problems. I never used them wheels anyhow.

Try it.. it cant hurt it worked for me..

Ive had mine 2 years and now am having probls with it, looking back with the hat switch isnt working all the time. Thats all the probs I had. Of course thats a major problem in a fight. Any suggestions on that?

Who ever posted about not downloadign the software was right, works alot better without, if you DL software you dont have access to as many of the buttons and you lose the calibration more. Just plug it in and calibrate and set up buttings in game and yoru golden. Most of my squaddies have the x52 and that seems to help it the most, with the exception of the time it takes to get use to it.

yeah took me awhile and now i can't use another one. the logitech is to hard to move the joystick its not loose like X52's easy to move and takes sharper turns i think.

Phew i'll be back to playing tomorrow if the nice lady on AH2 office will help me get my password back if i give her my information  :P

I've had the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro for almost 3 years now, and for a $35 stick, I couldn't have asked for any more.
