:O

Self-censorship works sometimes...
 :rofl

That pyramid was built. That was photographed also. But... never published....We didn´t want to insult anyone. We really didn´t want to see those topics again:
"Oh noooo....those nekkid Finns again!"
But, all in all. We had a fantastic AH-meeting, one after another!!!
THX for all participants and especially for the arrangement team: Sasmox, Panzzer and Wasq!
 :salute :salute :salute :
Oops, I almost forgot...A GREAT THANKYOU to Gewurzel and his wife for visiting our meeting this year. Somehow I think, they must have been enjoying that time. At least a little;-)
But, that is just my presumption. Let them tell their own story.

Despite of that fact that I am a finn, I still belive that we finns are building the best parties around AH.
A small glimpse of activities is here:

That was an absolute blast. I'd like to thank the organisers:- Sasmox, Panzer, Wasq and Bizman.

Thank you for the hospitality, courtesy and friendship during the meet, I'm honoured and proud to call each and every one of you friends. I did things in this week that I'd never done before, flying an Ultra Light, drinking FPO (after that night my face was hurting from laughing so much), dipping myself in an ice covered lake after being in a sauna full of naked men  :O.

Blauk, thank you for the day in Helsinki and the trip round the museum

Panzer, thank you for the lift to Virrat and back, and the meal with your wife (was a very nice way to end the meeting for Laura and I)

Kotari, thank you for telling us about Finland, its history and traditions.

MakeT, thank you for the spitfire, its absolutely gorgeous and is going to take pride of place next to my pc. Thank you all for the very thoughtful gifts (book on Virrat signed by everyone at the meeting), Mug, IL2 round and part of a ju88 rubber seal.

Bizman, thank you for your gift of the small bible as well - that will be a constant travel companion

My wife and I are already getting things sorted for next year, as I have to come back to try and beat Jannek - such a nice guy, and such a good stick.

Laura is still giggling over the weekends antics - naked pyramid included. She even liked the sauna (after we persuaded her to give it a try - and we'll work on her dipping in the lake for next year  :D)(Laura's comment on that was - over her dead body  :lol)

Going to Finland -140 pounds
Train to Tampere - 54 Euros
Price for meeting - 100 Euros
Meeting the Fins, naked in a sauna, and getting into an ice bound lake - Priceless

If you have not made one of the spring ah meets in Finland, I strongly, strongly recommend that you do. The Fins are fun to be around, fun to fly and fight with or against, and the hospitality will blow you away.

Thank you all, very very much (I've tried not to miss anyone out, my apologies if I have) My wife and I felt so very welcome to be there, and Laura says I now have to learn finnish  ;)

Please pencil my wife and I in for next year. :D

 :salute

Great weekend!

Already counting days to next meeting.  :aok

Thanks to guys who organised this party. Great work. Thanks to all who where there to make that atmosphere.

It was great to meet new pilots IRL. Wurzel, great that you enjoyed your stay in Finland. But next time, try to get some manners and don't shoot me down in ladder match.  :lol

So next year meeting is non-alcolic. Or did i understand something wrong?

Hi Laura here.  I just wanted Gary to post a personal thank you from me on Aces High to you all.

First thank you to everyone for making me feel so very welcomed! and making such a great effort!  I never met such a nice group of people!  Not too mentioned a very fun group to hang out with!  I had so many great chats with people and learned so much about Finland that you cant read in any book.  I really enjoyed talking about and learning about history of Finland and how WWII affected Finland.  Finland is a beautiful place and full of very nice people.  I can clearly see why the Fins are a very proud people, as they should be.

Thank you Sasmox for well everything!  What a great event and venue!  Really first class everything!  Gary has fallen in love with your house!  Sorry I missed the drive out to it, I think I was sleeping off some sort of hangover, lol.  I did pick up the newspaper with your picture on the front & I am going to attempt to translate it.

Thank you Kotari for the cigarettes & constant great chatting and laughter.  Im still laughing!  I learned a lot, thank you!  I love the steely eyed picture of you that was taken, looks great!

Thank you Bizman for the great piano entertainment & chats!  I love the leather flight helmet!  Looks great!

Thank you Blauk for the great chats.  I love the whole military/war hat idea.  I still think Gary will be wearing the plastic hard hat next year, for not only the pyramid.

Thank you Panzzer for the rides.  It was so very nice to meet your wife.  I will translate her poem, looking forward to that.

Thank you Koonan for the helmet picture that now exists of me, lol.  How drunk do I look.  It looks far better on you.

Thank you Vuokko, Jokeri & Mursutin for so much drunken laughter.  Mursutin be careful with those new english words I taught you, lol.

Thank you Wasq for the chats & taking some amazing pics!  Once I saw your camera I thought, I wont bother with my silly camera.  I will give the few pics I took to Gary so he can get them up on a website for everyone to see.

Thank you Zuum for asking "are you bored", lol, I was never bored, just chilled out, or maybe drunk, lol.  Those are great planes you brought, a shame the tree ate one.  At least the wind coughed it out of the tree, lol.

Thank you Jannek for winning the flying ladder.  Now Gary is hard at work training for next year, lol.

Thank you Raaka and its ok I dont speak Kanadian either, lol.  Dont worry I will make sure Gary learns Finnish for next year.

Thank you Nurminen for the chats, laughter & joining outside for the smoke breaks.

Thank you Bush for bringing Guitar Hero, your damn good at that game as well as Aces Hi.

Thank you Iku, Sant, Duke, Teerie, Charge, Mipoikel for the chats & laughter.  Wish it was longer than three days, so could chat and hang out more.  I think a week would be awesome!

I love the craziness of it all, I felt like I fit right in, being a tad bit crazy myself, lol.  FPO is some serious stuff!  I was instantly drunk after having that small amount.  And no I am not going anywhere near the frozen lake.  Like I said it will be over my dead body, cause it will probably kill me, lol.  I will build myself up for the heat of the saunas & I dont need eye bleach or therapy after all, lol.  I might need that stuff for the pyramid though, lol.

I cant thank you all enough for a great time!  Looking forward to this summer a trip hopefully and next years meet!

It was really pleasure to meet both of you, Laura and Gary.

And my squad duel challenge is still valid, if The Few get enough guys against my one man squad. :)

The week after AHMeet is allways tough one, feels quite hard adjusting to the daily business as usual after such a meeting.

Thank you Wurzel & Laura, there´s a lot of good memories from the meeting, and we will meet again for sure.  :salute

Nice video, Mipoikel, made me relive my breathtaking experience! This is one reason why I never take a camera to these meetings: People who have the skills and better equiment let me concentrate into having fun and let me memorize it via their visual productions.

Waiting for the next meeting more than a kid for Christmas! Thanks to all who participated, especially Wurzel and Laura. It's not the program, it's the people that create a good happening.  :salute
