What is the difference between a BnZ and a Pick? i always thought them the same, but some one confronted me and told me different, and that a pick is when you kill some one who is already chasing someone else. Can someone enlighten me?

A pick is whenever you're shot down, a BnZ is when you shoot someone else down :P

BnZ is more specifically a method of engagement: Hit and run tactics combined with energy management. Ideally you hit at high speed, then extend--usually in the vertical--and repeat. The REAL object is to maintain separation of no more than 2-3k, concentrated in the vertical, and making repeated slashing passes and utilizing other E-fighting techniques until your target runs out of energy. If executed properly you shouldn't extend outside of 3000 yards before reversing, which keeps your opponent entirely on the defensive and denies him an opportunity to equalize the situation.

Don't confuse it with Tempests, Ponies and Doras making mach speed passes from outside of icon range and retreating BACK outside icon range as soon as they miss.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

BnZ is a combat tactic in which you maintain an alt/E advantage over your target.  See Saxman above.

A pick is any time you blindside an enemy who is engaged.  Picks therefore do not have to come from the top-down (i.e. you can rise up to a fight and pick someone), but this is usually how they are done.

Picking or cherry picking is as you have been told.  Killing a con already engaged.  BnZ is using "E" advantage to zoom on your foe, shoot n scoot.

The term "Pick" is the most misused word in AH when they infact should be saying BnZ.

The person who confronted you is correct.  Boom n' Zoom just means using a superior energy state to make a guns pass at a target and then turning that kinetic energy (speed) back into potential energy (altitude).

No the most misused word is HO.  True HO is when both planes have a firing solution.
