This may be a bit far fetched, but the problem I see with that is that the majority of rescue planes are REALLY slow mothers, very easy pickings for the always-on-the-deck MA fights.
How about using the same system as the GV resupply? A plane paradrops a box, which the downed pilot has to bump into to "teleport" back to the nearest friendly base and .ef there (thus, "landing successfully")?
Now here comes the OTHER problem. The slow bellybutton rescue planes.
What about giving the Arado a "rescue" ordenance loadout, making the arado a FREE plane to fly when it uses that loadout?
Then you'd see arados flying at low level real fast dropping the rescue packages for others. Them arado pilots would get 10 perks per pilot they rescue. SYSTEM: PLAYERX has been Rescued by PlayerY
Sure, Id love to see the PBY's and Storchs, but face it, in the MA, they will be murdered before they get to the pilot...and many players will simply NOT wait the 5-15 minutes it will take those planes to fly from the airfield to their location (and FINDING them too!).
Perhaps, use the arado with rescue package idea AND make it so that only pilots that RETURN HOME alive get perkies for their mission? (That is, if you get shot down in friendly territory and bail out and .ef, you'd get half the perks, if you bail out and .ef in enemy territory, you get no perks. If you bail out anywhere and get rescued, you'd get full perks. Returning to base with your plane should give the existing perk bonus multiplier).
Edited: Just thought that the Arado IS the perfect plane for this. Its all-glass nose will give the Rescue pilots the best visibility for SAR missions.
