No worries for me :)

It just made me curious if there was even a 'green' paint scheme that worked historically for a Panzer or Tiger.  The lower one appears to be green over Panzer gray.

I can appreciate your historical point of view... I would like to post on historical stuff in game ,but i know i cant do it with out being a buttt head so  <Salute> is all i can say..... cheers

LTARogue....LOL at your post  You still turn down graphics when you GV..I know cus you've continuously shot at me while I was fully hidden behind hills and buildings.  Really Hypocritical  don't you think ?

And yes you can still turn down graphics for an advantage...

Kam

Well Kamori, I just don't know what to tell you other than apparentlly you need to go back to the training arena and learn how to GV because if I saw you, and killed your happy azzz, then obviously you weren't hidden well enough. I will also add that you should work on your aiming, snapshots, target aquisition, and range estimation so that you can kill me next time instead of the other way around. Just because you continually get owned by me on the ground doesn't mean that I have stooped to your level. I have not utilized this "option" with the exception of the last 18 hours to see how much of an effect it really has. My observations are that it makes a big difference and all tigers and panzers are very visible. If you are doing this for that reason then you are gaming the game period. That is the point of this post. It was not intended to invite personal attacks such as Kamori's.

Hey, you tankers need to start a new thread about dropping your own engine sound to 0 so you can find the enemy tank easier.

Oh, and another thread how the Il2's new guns are too powerful.

Maybe Skuzzy and the rest of the gang are feverishly working on it in their HTC shop staying up late etc..Or maybe they are just waiting to see how big of an issue this really is.  :noid And turning engine sound down....doesn't everybody do that?

I'll be the first to admit that I back it off, but not down.  I like to know when I am running.  It sucks when you try to move, only to remember that you shut down.

The balance (for me, at least) between some engine sounds and squad vox will not allow full GV sound.  It's just way too effing loud.

I never do it. I cut my own engine and turn my volume up really loud, but I never change the balance between mine and others'.

I'm not finding a green panzer.  Good examples of both a Tiger I and Panzer IV in Normandy, which was awfully green when I was there. Tan as the base color with brown and green patches. Definately not overall green
Despite your experience of Normandy being "awfully green" while you were there, I would hazard a guess and say it wasn't nearly as monochromatically green as the current AH terrain.

Before they recreated the terrain, there was quite a bit of yellow/brown colors and a lighter shade of green IIRC.  The default skins didn't stand out against the mottled background any more (and perhaps a bit less) than, say, the all green M-3.

The new terrain, however, I can easily spot anyone using the default skin.  Green skins are more difficult.  M-4s that have the dark green forrest trees behind them are an absolute bugger to make out.

No, it's because you were all just too jealous of my spelling ability and grammar skills.

That, and perhaps the 54°40′ or Fight thread ticked off the Canadian members . . .  :noid

Depending on your system, it cannhelp you with elimating stutter when the program has to load skins from HD while airborne and getting into a fight.

i still don't understand why changing the default skin on the tiger/ panzer would effect the ability of the (low end computer)
if disabling skins helps  frame rate that is fine, but it hurts your ability to gv when another does so!
i personally always shoot at the default skin tanks that stand out like sore thumbs first, then i type in on 200 , " get a paint job" or some other smart remark!
all tho i have known about the disable skins , thing   i never gave it much thought, but if the reason a low end computer is effected is because of skin downloads, then htc should  change the default skin, to better match the terrain we use here.
i don't remember a desert map in A H were the default camo on the tiger would be correct.
on the other side of it ,, if you have a high end computer and yet you are selecting disable skins, isn't that more of a cheat than even say,, killing a shade account?
the fact that this happens makes me Leary now,, because i have been thinking my green tank would be safe in the green woods, this also explains how someone just pops up and within seconds can see me at long range inside the trees, or other cover,
maybe i should go back to playing in default skin only!   kinda takes the fun out of it tho!!

 just my opinion,
Flying since tour 71.

I don't think I ever downloaded extra skins; I think I've used only the default ones, unless my squad asked me to select a specific skin for a mission or something. I think the only one I have available for the pzr (which I'm in most of the time) is the brown skin. The other skins on the list aren't 'available' to me. I suppose I can download other skins and use them instead of the brown one.  I probably wouldn't have thought to do that had it not been for this thread. Thanks :aok
