Same thing happened to me the other day.

Also, my husband was beside me on his computer & also logged into AH on his acct.

We're both knights, but were at bases across the map from one another.  My range vox was being transmitted over his computer (his range vox wasn't transmitting at all).  So, even though my vox was out, it worked out okay as long as I stayed at that one base where that particular range transmission was bleeding out of his computer. =)

We both logged for the evening & next day it was fine.

*edit* I think what may have happened to cause that:  he was previously within the same range as me ~ therefore would have received the same range transmissions.  Once he left that base & went across the map, the vox from his previous base (which I was still at) was maintained as the current range for him instead of updating to his new location.

Have you tried restarting the computer? You mentioned you logged off, but that could just mean stand-by. Sometimes an issue such as this resolves itself in time and sometimes it's resolved with a simple restart of the computer.

Let us know how it turns out.

Did you install anything new in the past few days / weeks when this issue first appeared?

Is it your voice transmissions for other people to hear that don't work? Or is hearing the others speak that's not working for you?

This sounds more similar to something blocking your transmissions. For instance your ISP is dropping particular UDP packets used for VOX or you have a software/hardware firewall blocking the ports being used for the transmission. If you have any firewalls (Windows Firewall included) please disable them when heading in-game. It would also be useful if you do this to anti-virus machines. Not only will this allow the game to run faster, it might fix your problem.

No, I'd have to say there's not much to worry about when disabling your AV and firewall unless you're browsing the web while flying or you're running a bittorrent client while flying.

Mom, my mic doesnt have a mute button so it can't be that. back to your first Question Mom, I can hear everyone, but my vox isnt transmitting. ive tested it on myself, nothing.

Denholm, Im not computer savvy, specially on Vista. Someone is going to have shine some light down as to how to check those things you mentioned.

Well, I have no idea as to if Vista has Windows Firewall included, however I assume it does. If it does have Windows Firewall, you most definitely can find it in the, "Control Panel." However, I don't know enough about Vista to tell you for certain how to get there. Most likely you search for it from the start menu.

Have you installed any anti-spyware, anti-virus, or Internet Security utilities when you got your Vista computer? If so, stopping or disabling their monitoring abilities before heading in-game will free up the processor some more and possibly stop the blockage of voice-transmissions. Typically these applications can be found in your Task Tray (bottom right when looking at the desktop) and double-clicking one of their icons brings up a menu with options to temporarily disable protection.

Any chance you have their Firewall as well? I just worked on someone's computer who had the Norton Internet Security Suite. Whenever he attempted to access a SSL secured site Norton would terminate the connection resulting in a, "Page cannot load" error.
