screen jumbled
« on: January 09, 2009, 05:45:07 PM »
On my first flight everything loads fine. On my second flight though the screen just flashes random terrain sky clouds buildings all over my monitor. This happens for about 10 seconds then my cockpit veiw pops in and it seems like my plane dropped down onto the tarmack. Then when i activate my engines the screen goes back to jumbled images to the point it gives me a splitting head ache.
i run vista 32 bit 2 gigs of ram and a radoen 8600 gts.

You sure that's not an nvidia 8600 gts?

We're going to need your dxdiag.

going by what you describe its hard to "guess". It sounds like either bad drivers for your video card, or its just loading everything very slow due to low resources. Run Dxdiag (start, run, type in dxdiag, hit ok) once its finished, in the lower right corner is a button to save the info to text. Do so, then cut and paste the first third here. It will show your set up and the drivers you are using.

I have an 8800GTS, but my driver is older than yours. I have 6.14.11.7779 I'm also using XP so that might be the issue there. Newest drivers isn't always the best. Sometime the newest will add artifacts in some boards and what you describe sounds like a driver issue to me. You might want to roll back the drivers a bit. Ask around what drivers others use for that video card under vista.
