Clone155 has reached his trolling limit, I'd say.

C'mon gents, he is in the same squad as TwentyFo, pull the hook out of your mouths and swim away.

the guy gets killed by spit 16's way more than he kills them.

if this is supposed to be a troll it = fail.

Just because a lot fly a particular plane is absolutely no reason to perk a plane

I agree!!

If that WAS the case, the P-51 would have a perk cost of 500!!

The Spitfire Mk16 and the La7 need a light perk in the LWM. :aok

I say perk all uber rides slightly ( not much..just 4 or 5 perks with no ENY)
what you find is not the fact that you say "uh oh" a spixteen, but you will find that when the new guy joins the MA, they ask "whats a good fighter to fly"..people often respond "LA, Spixteen, Niki". What you have going on is that a majority of these people exploiting the advantages to HO or ram with absolutley no remorse.
I feel as though you have a good enough pilot, youll get shot down by a spixteen or P40 no matter what. Throwing away perks dont fare well with any pilot and in the very least would make them think twice to make them fly the best they can in that ride.
btw Del..Clone wouldnt know how to troll if you trained him..hes a good kid whos just giving his oppinion

The C-Hog and F4U-4 are perked and I consider it on an even keel with these aircraft (The F4U is even a more challenging aircraft to fly!).

First, the 4 Hog is the best plane in the game bar none (even though I'm not a great Hog stick).

People will often bring K/D ratio's into these discussions, but they are irrelevant in reality.  Every time someone asks what a good beginner plane is, in unison you hear "Spit 16" or "LA-7," grouped with the few people who say something like "P-40!"  These new players will die very, very often (except in rare cases) in their first few months of play skewing these aircraft's numbers.  I'm sure if someone wanted to do a study with an experienced pilot comparing all these aircraft we'd see some very different numbers.

I wouldn't have posted this but you asked.  I don't consider myself great by any means but after almost 13 years of this I do have a little experience.  Following is a list of all the planes I've got a 3:1 or better K/D rate in over the past 6 months (combined).  Even though I fly the XVI more than anything else note it's lowly 10th position on the list (only 4 spots above the most feared ac in the game... the Stuka of death!):

Fw 190A-5   -   11.00
Fw 190D-9   -   9.00
P-47-D11   -   8.00
Spitfire Mk XIV   -   7.25
Fw 190A-8   -   7.23
Tempest   -   6.50
F4U-4   -   6.00
P-51D   -   5.50
Hurricane Mk IIC   -   4.00
Spitfire Mk XVI   -   3.69
Bf 109K-4   -   3.52
Bf 109G-6   -   3.50
F6F-5   -   3.45
Ju 87D-3   -   3.00
Ki-84-Ia   -   3.00
Ta 152H   -   3.00
Typhoon IB   -   3.00

How do you exploit a ram?

How do you exploit a ram?

Happened to me early this morn in LWblue. LA sprays at 1.5k during a head on merge, when failed on the HO a couple times, and clearly out of ammo, in desperation uses his plane for the ram. I wasnt going to fall for it and pulled off and went to the deck back to base. This guy was intent to ram following me a half sector with no ammo. Question is..would he of pulled off knowing he had no ammo left and land his plane knowing he would spare a few perks or why not try to ram this other guy for the sole intent of pissing him off?

He was more likely to kill himself...the way the collision is modeled in game. You knew this though?

The way collisions go in my favor...I wasnt gonna chance it. I always loose  :cry. At one point he was 400 behind me and clearly could put me down and didnt fire a shot so then, Yes I know what his intent was

I just wanted to say if I see a Spit16 I usually go out of my way to shoot it down.  If I see 5 planes and only one is a Spt16 - I jump the 16.  A Spit16 to me is like a bulls eye that takes up 3/4 of the screen.  :O

Also, I love shooting down uber planes in average aircraft.  :rock

Hello Clone,

A few suggestions for you Sir:

1) Learn the strength's of the plane you are flying versus the 16 and exploit them when engaged with one.  The help section of the AH boards, the AH Trainer Corps, and the TA are all good resources.

2) Do your homework on the perking system and the aircrafts performance data before calling for perking an aircraft.

3) Never assume that any given plane is flown only by a new pilot.

Ain't that the truth. Although the pony is not good enough to be perked, I'd like to see a perk on it just to keep so many people out of it.

The Spit16, well  :rofl it's a circus plane for clowns. Overmodeled, silly, easy mode at it's finest...but yet easy to kill. But, if people don't want to chalenge themselves to fly a harder mode plane, that's cool too. I'm not paying for their account. :salute

There is no favor... What you see is what you get. If you do not touch on your end there is no collision.
If he hits you on his end he takes damage.

You can not take advantage of the collision model.

I'll post pics if you like.
