i have to admit ive been accused of being a "warper" so i did some research on my comp and once i shut down everything that vista was running, changed to "classic" windows theme, and deleted my girlfriend's sons iTunes i found the comp ran much better. although it still happens occasionally it isnt nearly as bad & now im waiting to buy a video card. any suggestions for under $150?
iTunes take up more than half of your computer space.  My wife has iTunes on my old computer.  with in a month, she had two seasons of "Friends", 36 songs, and about a dozen "Lost" episode.  It caused me to warp so bad that not only was i warping, but eveone around me warp.  what a freaking nightmare.

Just setup iTunes so it is not running alll the time.  THAT is what will make you warp, not all the content you have d/l'd.

If your drive is getting full it might cause some problems though. Easy fix add another drive and keep your itune files there.

If it isn't running, it won't cause you to warp.

Just how did you set it up so it wasn't running?

Did you turn off the Service?

Run a program such as HiJackThis to make SURE it isn't running?

You can't blame a program that isn't running on warping, as that makes zero sense.  If it isn't running it would have zero impact on your system (except as was allready posted re: HD space)  It has to be running and doing something to cause your connection to be unstable.

First time anyone has told me that I warped.  I happened to dump all flaps and still had ord hanging in fight you are mentioning.  Instead of sending nasty PM and posting here on BBS why not ask me nicely.  As I said, no one has ever mentioned that to me before.  And for the record, I am NOT one of the "cable yankers."

I know theres been quite a bit written about warpers in this game but one in particular really needs to either address the issue or move on. I for one have first hand knowledge on how warping effects the guy who is doing the warping. For about 3-4 months each time I logged into the game I was warping bad. It drove me crazy and everybody else as well. I knew it had to be something  other than my computer's capability because I didn't warp up till then. It took a lot of time and effort to finally figure out why I was warping and on the verge of quiting the game I resolved the issue. I still warp a bit when I log on the game but it stops within the first 5 minutes. I try and avoid any contact until I know the warping has stopped, unfortunately sometimes I can't avoid contact.

However there is a guy in MW who has been warping for 1-2 years now. He is a very nice guy but his trouble is his internet connection which cannot (by his own addmission) be fixed unless he moves to another area. He has warped into me while on his six now multiple times always killing me. He has magically warped from 1500 out to within 400 and shot me, he has no trouble bombing and killing you while bombing but his bombers are all but impossible to hit. When he's in a tank he has no trouble hitting you while his tank is warping so bad you can't get a bead on him. I seen him on the roof of a VH and then 100 feet to the right then 200 feet to the left. In my opinion he has warped so long and he is so use to warping that he now has an advantage over the people who fight him. I think that if a guy knows he warps and cannot get it fixed in a reasonable time he should leave the game. I don't think it's fair to the rest of the community that he just continues to play. I am sure everybody who plays MW knows who I'm talking  about. The squad he plays in is a base taking squad and when he runs and m3 he is unhitable resulting in a base capture that shouldn't have been.+

playing as rook against guido is frustrating for sure as not now i see he's warps get him killed alot more than he wins. yes its a bogger trying to kill him when he warps i pull off look for another target not worth the effort. just imagine how mad he gets a connection.

Haven't read every post. So if it's been said I apologise but. As mentioned in here. A parked gv camping a spawn warping? Thats not warp but an exploit of some sort. Legit warp is packet loss or really bad internet conection causing a moving object to warp to get in sync w/the other players or the game server. A stationary object should cause zero warp once parked. At most, the GV's firing would be affected. (IE. you die, then see the round coming.)

Back in the day I used to play Mech Warrior 3. An old exploit then was hitting the esc key to exit the game, leaving the window open till you manuvered to where you wanted. then closing it again. causing huge jumps in location. (Others would see you running in place and couldn't kill you.) I think there is something close to this being used in AH. As it is very rare too see someone warp once they have a gun solution on your 6. But boy it's really bad if the situation is reversed.

you have to ignore bigplay, he always speaking crap about others with no understanding of the game. IN mid war complaining about everyone. trys to say guys like me score ho and our bombing % is .500% 1/2 hit per bomb and he thinks this is score ho'ing. i talked to guido lazydog and bigplay 's statements nevver happen exactly what i thought happened. they make up things with no facts.

What is funny is you think people do this on purpose.  I can't even install a video card without help.  Spoke with some squaddies that were flying at the same time as when I was suposed to have warped.  They never saw me warping.  It can happen on both ends, so you may want to check your end as well.
