I happen to have a M$ ForceFeedback 2 joystick. I like the FF element off flying in any sim, it adds a lot to the immersion IMHO. Now, if I get tagged by an enemy and lose some parts, say an aeileron and the corresponding wingtip, the FF to my stick is kinda like a shaking sensation which moves my stick left to right. This 'shaking' continues until I land/crash/die which I would assume simulates the aircraft shimmying due to disruptions on the exterior (holes/missing parts etc.) and thats fine, but the issue is It's nearly impossible to land because I get the message "Don't move your controls so rapidly" (during the shaking) which we all know dapens the inputs for a few seconds. When you take away control from someone trying to nurse a damaged aircraft I might as well just bail out.
I'm just wondering what y'alls take is on this, Yes, I can turn down the FF effects until this doesnt happen but thats taking away from the immersion and thats what I have to do to for now to land a crippled plane.
