This is kind of a extension of the "Immersion" thread that is here, but more on the topic of adding sounds to the game.
Yes, I know we have them, and lots of them. We also have some nice custom ones thanks to AKWabbit and others. But that's not what I mean.
Someone mentioned a while back how they love the water sprites...its a little thing, but fantastic eye candy. That's kind of what my suggestions are...sound candy..
I'd like to see/hear...
1. Roar of a fighter pass you in the air
2. Sitting on the runway, hear the roar as a CHOG overflies you
3. Sitting at a base under assault, hear the incoming Pazer/Osty rounds in better detail.
4. Hear the thunderous blasts of a 4000 pound bomb killing your hangars as you sit helplessly on the runway...
Thoughts?
I mean, every air show I've gone to, I am awed how *nice* these aircraft sound..and how loud they are. In all my flightsims, my "sound candy" is the fly by views...like in F22 and others...
