AHA! So I do finally have a good idea!
3 hrs flight from Frankfurt to here, 2 hrs drive to the airport. Nearest landing strip ends at the house wall!

Wholly cow! Thank you for the link!
Luckily we are not in the EU...yet. Although the education here will give you a complete IAR, we do not have to bow under all their regulations.
The air traffic is a good reason though but still.
I recall when I visited the CAA HQ in Reykjavik. Made me realize things. The Icelandic airspace under our ATC is the largest one in the Northern hemisphere. But there is quite some traffic, since all the trans-Atlantic flights go through it.
Over the country itself (Iceland is roughly the Size of England) there is however not so much traffic, and a very nice scenery. A normal flight in a private aircraft therefore is often just planned as one goes! You are being monitored and you do have a plan, but a permission for sightseeing and you change the plan as you go. It is a most wonderful thing!
So I guess this is one Idea  :D
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

Thank you!
We might start with just a little ad in a European aviation magazine. But before, more input is always welcome.
Next speculation would be exactly how to get a project like this going. Or the goal. Amalgam of flying/learning how and travelling for instance?
