What a joke.  They are inches away from being every bit as absurd as the Grammys.

It's not rock and roll hall of fame it's the pop music hall of crap.

Wasn't Madona inducted last year? Now Run DMC, I would not consider either one of those performers rock and roll musicians.

It is a joke.

not entirely but it is kind of a joke, now rolling stone magazine, that has become a huge joke, there are more articles in there on rappers these days than rock and roll, and it was made to report on rock and roll...

I'd like to see a list of people inducted into the HOF since it's inseption, then make a list of how many of them SHOULD be in before SRV.  Me thinks the 2nd list would be quite short.

Unfortunately like everything else it has become political.

They call it Rap or Hip Hop because that is what it is.  It isn't rock and roll.

I grew up in the 50s' when rock and roll was becoming popular.  From Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee etc. to Elvis.

Buddy Guy a great guitarist...might be classified as a Blues guitarist he played for Muddy waters.  No matter he's one of the best I've heard.

Jimi Hendrix emulated Buddy Guy.  Hendrix was a huge fan of Buddy Guy.  I guess people forget.

Early guitarists from the Ventures, the Shadows and Duane Eddy....not to mention Les Paul etc.  They helped form Rock and Roll.

And BB King?  Robert Cray is spectacular imho also.  Some are in the Hall....some aren't.

The R&R Hall of fame has become as our Govt. has......a mere shadow of what it stands for and is supposed to be.

Also remember....there is a difference between a Musician and a Technician.  To be classified as a Musician you must be both.

We have way to many technicians standing in high regard these days in music.  They aren't Musicians.

Man, I just caught Buddy Guy at the Cain's last month, he was absolutely fantastic!  He's an old man but he can still tear it up.  I thought he was a member though, guess that shows what I know.

It was a great concert though, Cain's is one of the best places for concerts ever.
