Tank Turret Traverse Speeds
« on: January 15, 2009, 10:50:37 PM »
Just curious... one of the online sources (which lists its published sources) is showing HTC to be innacurate when it comes to the turret traverse speeds in multiple tanks it has in AH2, just what kind of evidence needs to be presented for HTC to notice and/or take stock in the information presented?

So far... I'm a bit skeptical of HTC's openness to accept presented data or its willingness to adjust the data for an unspecified reason.  The exhaust/flame dampeners on the Mossi is a prime example.

Do I even bother?

I have come across a model data anomaly in AH, sent a very brief email questioning it.  The anomaly was an error, and was fixed the next update.  I have also come across primary source documentation where the data conflicted with the AH model, and found it changed in the next update.

My advise...

1.  Be concious of the staffs time-  Be brief with your overview of the issue.

2.  Provide the primary source-   (I've either sent a scan of the document page, or sent the entire document in pdf and cited the page/paragraph location of the relevent data).

In every instance where a change was made, I could explain the issue in less than 100 words.  Did the research, and provided the source (as opposed to expecting them to obtain the primary source).

And 3. Be patient

HTC can't immediately fix every anomaly, perhaps they're already working on it!
For instance, we still haven't got the B-29 either :D

And to bolster what Murdr said ...

When the FM2 was re-released, Pyro disabled the WEP, and rightfully so, according to his documentation. A squaddie of mine (Bodhi), produced extremely convincing evidence/data that the FM2 (that we have in-game) indeed had WEP and Pyro was more than willing to enable WEP for the FM2.

I will forever be beholding to Bodhi for providing that data ... :D

Bohdi has an unfair advantage :)

The bottom line is to present the evidence the way you would build a case in court; make arguments based on fact and present your sources.  HTC & Co. are professionals; be professional and you're talking their language.  If that's not an option go track down AKNimitz to put it all together for you  :D
