No.

I liked AW WWI some, WWII a lot, and Korea not at all.  Too fast.  Everything degenerated into long range head on jousting.  Your target was a dot, a split second later it was a plane, and a split second later a dot again.

I did, however, enjoy shooting down an F86 with my Spit IX after he misjudged my energy state.  (WWI, WWII, and Korea were all part of one map and people learned they could fly their F86 from the Korean War period back in time to WWII.  I'm not sure they had enough fuel to make it back to WWI.)

Just say no to the Korean War. It's still on so the mig15 vs F15 would get boring  ;)

F-86 Sabre,... and they are a blast. Faster thinking, much wider playing field, steady hands.

Personally though, I love Korea era jets, but if it comes down between updating the main game or adding a different era of war, I'd rather see them get a little further ahead in the main game first. I wouldn't add it thinking it will change much in the game as these seem to be secondary personal preference items....to prop pile-its >>>>IMO.

IMO, someone who is really into to jets they are most likely to be found in another game that does that full tilt with modern models as well. So I don't think it will be a draw to the game for new players. And I don't think existing players are going to see it as a lasting major change.. but hey I could be completely wrong.

I think that concept works the same way for prop lovers. If you want a prop plane you probably will most often fly the better performing WWII models a majority of the time,...then WWI.

Both Korea and WWI are great fun, but IMO the mindsets work against the middle more preferred era. If it were me ( and you all thank cod it's not) I would add something like that when I have a month of pretty much nothing else to do. That said if it's not a big time consuming deal, then give it ALL to us.... :D

The hitch with adding the Korean war might be things that are quite outside of what HTC has done before. Radar and radar-ranging gunsights spring to mind.
"Crikey, sir. I'm looking forward to today. Up diddly up, down diddly down, whoops, poop, twiddly dee - decent scrap with the fiendish Red Baron - bit of a jolly old crash landing behind enemy lines - capture, torture, escape, and then back home in time for tea and medals."

Forgive me as I just skimmed through the entire thread and saw nothing about progressively perking all the jets and the ultimate high-end prop rides like the F82, etc.  Obviously the highest perked aircraft would be F86's and Mig15's..  Contrary to popular belief, neither of these aircraft were plentiful during the Korean conflict..  One MAY think about ho-ing in a Mig15...But probably wouldn't even consider it in an F86..  Either way, I'd see them perked something like the 262..  This will make just about everyone reconsider taking a head-on pass or head-on shot..
They would definitely have to consider some type of "g-suit" or something because turning at the higher speeds(even with the prop rides) involved will obviously apply more of Newton's law to the virtual pilot..

The hitch with adding the Korean war might be things that are quite outside of what HTC has done before. Radar and radar-ranging gunsights spring to mind.

A radar ranging gunsight doesn't need to be added (however it would be easy since there's already a lead computing gunsight in the TA).
There's no lead computing gunsight in the MA..  Hence, there's no need for it in a hypothetical Korean Conflict arena..  Gunnery would be done just the same, with practice..
As far as airborne radar, there'd be no need for that either as dedicated fighters did not have radar at that time..
Jets like the F3D Skynight had radar, but they're role was mainly as a night-fighter/night attack aircraft and the range wasn't really that much..  You'd probably see something on the horizon(in daylight) about the same time it would show up on your radar...  Not sure how useful it'd be in an arena that is daylight (for the most part) all the time..

Also, we already have ground based radar...

None of this stuff is outside of what HTC has already done....

The only thing truly different about the Korean Conflict in the air is that planes were faster (for the most part)..
It was all still pretty much WWII technology..  There would be no major hurdles for HTC to do this..

Why add a new arena of runners, when 4 of them exist already?

No thanks.
