Update for taking bases and troopers in map room

I know that some stuff was modified about taking bases but would like to know what has changed. First you need 10 troops in the map room to take the base. Now what if you're able to shoot 2 of em. There is 8 guys in the map room and a jeep with 3 troopers will do the job. Exactly how much time does those 8 guys are "alive" in there before they can drop another 2 and take that base? I know that straffing the map room doesn't kill the troopers anymore. Can you "reset" the map room by sending some of your troopers in? This way they would have to bring another 10 instead of the last 2 to make it to 10? Thanks

My understanding is that the troops are good until the town starts to pop. And bringing friendly troops does reset the maproom.

I was defending one day and Heeler and 4 or 5 other guys all said that. So, I took them for their word and brought a M3 to town  :lol I'm not too much into taking fields as you can tell, but how about the 15 minute rule? Is that true or is it until the town pops that the troops are still good?

The troops that get in last 10 or 15 minutes... can't remeber which.  You can't kill them by straffing the maproom and there is no such thing as re-setting the maproom by having friendly troops run in behind the enemy troops (they all just hang out there getting drunk together).  Whoever gets the tenth troop in gets the capture.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

And might I add...  it's the 10th ENEMY troop that gets the capture.

Say a Knit base is under attack.

The Bish. drop troops and 9 make it in.

Then a Rook comes and drops 1 troop.

The Rooks gets the capture.

That works. Be there first and shoot 'em when they enter. And that's the reason you sometimes hear "strafe the maproom" on game. It's done just in case some bailed pilot is hiding there.
