Dead Pilot no longer on line?
« on: January 19, 2009, 12:16:32 PM »
Lately I have shot down several pilots and wanted to send a  :salute only to receive the popup "YADA YADA is no longer online" This a new tactic? Pull the plug so you don't suffer the pangs of death? Maybe it was a freak but last night(early this morning) I shot down a pielet - good stick and great fight, IMO, sent an immediate :salute and poof, not online.  I know I type slow but jeez...
Just asking if anyone else has seen this... ?

Maybe they get :furious because they get killed (because they are 2 L337 to get killt) and leave in a huff.

Some people get too bent outta shape over a game.

When I'm on my last flight of the night and get shot down, I'm usually logged off about 2 seconds after being teleported into the tower.
The Grumman TBF Avenger (designated TBM for aircraft manufactured by General Motors) was a torpedo bomber developed initially for the United States Navy and Marine Corps. It entered U.S. service in 1942, and first saw action during the Battle of Midway.

Besides, only the winner gives a salute.

This person could either be real heated and was mature enough to just walk away, or was the last flight.  Either way, I wouldn't worry about it.

I find this not true.  When and if I put up a good fight and lose, I'll salute first.  I enjoy a fair good fight till the death.  Of course i could be angered at the time cause I was Hoed by 5 ponies looking for a fair fight.

I rarely salute. Not that I don't want to. It's just that some <S> seem more discourteous than flattering.

90% of the time when I log off for the evening, it's immediately after I hit the tower.  Usually I try to say "just one more sortie," which turns into at least 5 more.  Then by the time I get to that last one, I hit alt+f4 & take off. :)

I had a good fight going last night with someone and augered giving him the kill.  I saluted and didn't get one back but I'm positive it was because I was in a Spit and this particular player is all hoity toity about people who fly Spits.  Whatever.

I've always done that Kken since AW days. Mostly I'm tired and well what the heck I'm in the tower. Other times I take a few minutes off to think through what I did wrong. Then other times I am just PO'd.  So I need to cool my jets. No disrespect intended.
