Why is it always Omaha beach. How about Sword, Juno or Gold?
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

Because Omaha was where the fight was.  Gold, Juno, & Sword the soldiers just walked right up to the beach and beyond.  Things went quite well on those beaches.....

Not exactly walked...I got to know one of them and he got shot as soon as he was out of the landing craft.
My point was that Omaha was near to a disaster, the other 4 out of 5 were not.

Well ya got my drift. 

A big <<SALUTE>> to the guys who stormed those beaches!! I really want to go to Normandy at some point in my life and walk the beaches!! Maybe even find a suviner or something a long the way!
