VMF-251 Recruiting
« on: January 20, 2009, 03:07:59 PM »
Marine Fighting Squadron 251 is currently recruiting F4U fans.

We are a Rook squadron primiarily active in the Late War Arenas, but have also flown in AVA and snapshots. We're also active in Friday Squad Ops.

Our main squad night is Saturdays at 9pm EST, with a training/practice night at 9pm EST on Wednesdays. We also participate in FSO (Fridays at 11pm EST launch) and also fly with VF-17, VF-10 and 880Sqn. on Sunday nights at 8pm.

The squadron's main ride is the F4U-1A Corsair. We also fly the other variants as need dictactes, and other aircraft as need or whimsy leads us. We especially enjoy the PBJ-1H (B-25H) for heavy ground-attack in addition to our D and C-Hogs. We aim for a more structured and cooperative style of flight, particularly teamwork and cooperative tactics, although are not strictly regimented.

If you're interested check out our website at the link below and submit an application in our Communcations center.

Good flying, and hope to hear from you.

 :salute

Sorry Saxman about lastnight.  We had very low numbers resulting in perk bonuses of 2.5 + for most of the night.  All my squaddies and I were having a blast attacking bases and fighter sweeps.  Some of us were landing or not landing 20+ perks per sortie.  Plus we were training a new squaddie in.  Would love to have you guys join us on a night of low numbers if your interested.  I'm still interested in some kind of get together to fly Corsair based missions.  :salute

It was a low turnout for TF58 last night. Two weeks ago I had 8 of the Bucs online, to go with about as many from the other squads. No idea what happened to my guys this week, they were all digging it.
