It seems that he made the assumption that I would have made too that the Romanian 109s would have the default two RLM grays on top of fuselage and wings and that only the mottling would be more or less repainted in Romanian unit to suit their taste.
From actual pictures it seems that there is not a thin stripe of default camo paint on upper part of the fuselage or default angular camo pattern on the wings. Only one faint picture of very different camo from German type on the wings. Also no national insignia on top of wing?
Was the light blue used in those Romanian 109s the standard RLM65 (or 76?) or was it their own colour as a base over the whole aircraft over which the Romanian type camo was painted? Did they use all standard RLM colours?
