Swtiching ammo types in tanks.

It seems to me that if you're in a tank firing with for example HE rounds and one is in the chamber, and you decide you want to switch to AP there should be a reload time there.  Instead you just hit the button and the round magically changes from HE to AP and is ready to go down range. 

The other thing I find quite annoying about this when GVing is that if I'm firing HE or HVAP and pop up to the pintle to have a look around when I get back in the gunner position the ammo fairy magically switches my rounds back to AP.

I think what we have now is a fine balance between realism and fun. No need to change it.

i like the idea of it "remembering" what type you were firing so you dont have to select again every time you leave the gun..

Tell me, do you think that's a generally valid argument for accuracy issues in this game?  E.g. Suppose the 109K-4 had a high velocity 30mm cannon, and I said, "don't change it I like it that way."

I agree.  If I've been ordering my loader to shove in AP rounds... and I pause to take a look from outside the hatch I would like to think the gunner isnt going to yank out the AP and shove in an HE just because I pause for a bit.

It's also a problem with bombers as well. Jump to guns, go back, and you find your bomb selection has been reset to default. So, for example, instead of that 4000lb cookie you want to drop, you just tickled your target with a 500lb cherry bomb.

Load time.....rounds staying where and what type I left em'......GOOD!   been annoyed by my loader for years, mabey HT can kick him in the arse and get him to stop switching my M8 ammo to HE....
