Katyusha Truck
« on: January 21, 2009, 03:42:15 PM »
I think this would be quite interesting, and useful for tightly-packed groups of enemy tanks.  I figure you could take one as a vehicle or you can just set them up on a VH.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katyusha

not a good idea, targeting wouldn't be easy as rockets don't all fly the same,
you would get a random are hit, proper big guns would be better

I could probably do without this truck per se, but I would LOVE to have a custom sound pack that makes a similar noise when I launch all me rockets from a P-38 or 190-F  :rock

Try working with the 251 we have now.  Get it in where u can use the rockets vs defended enemy positions and tell us how effective it is.  I'm not talking about vs a strat target, I'm talking about vs a base town, vs a air/veh base, or directly vs enemy gv's.  THEN mention how you'd like to have the Katyusha rockets in the game.   ;)

By the time you get in position and get the enemy ranged, you're either jabo meat or a snack for a tank/wirby/etc.   :frown:

Good looking, too.  Took this at the Kremlin in Nizhny Novgorod in '07.  LOTS of hardware there; hard to get SWMBO to let me stay long enough to get pictures.

So.. you would rather miss with 40 rockets vs 6?   ;)  Actually, I thought it was a rail of 8 or 10 which meant 16 or 20 rockets prior to a reload?
