I've seen live fire demonstrations of the A-10 when it was first placed in service.

After all it's a plane built around I believe a 30mm Gatling gun.

Well, the ammo depends on the mission and sometimes the pilot. The majority of the times the, "party-mix" is used. The party-mix includes a ratio of 1AP:2HE rounds.

 WHile all the front line fighters are nice, given my choice i would rather have a ride in one of these than anything else. I have always loved that plane.  She actually sounds like shes growling when they let loose with that cannon, Great post ty   :salute
