Yea... it is. I saw HT log off today. I have no idea WHY but I did see somebody saying this game sucks. You hear ALOT of griping and whining on channel 1. You hardly ever here something postive. The same goes for this board more often than not. I think that perhaps we need to take a step back now and then and realize the job that the entire HTC staff does. What other sim do you find quick, by programing standards, fixs to many problems? What other FS do you get constant updates and upgrades...and believe me folks, these take ALOT of time and key bashing.

What I'm getting at is that this isnt just a method of raking in money... its something these indiv's care about. I do see alot of constuctive critism but I see alot of "this sH*& sucks bla bla bla...". Lets show some class and some patience and perhaps pat HTC on the back now and then instead of assulting all of them w/100's of gripes when any of them are on-line.

 xBAT

P.S. My feed back is this is one hell of a game run by those who seem like good people. <S>

Of course, I only see what he posts here and what he does in the MA.  I know virtually nothing about the man.  I think its important for people to realize that we don't really know squat about each other.... definately not enough to use words like "hate".

Bullseye, Xbat.

I get called a "cheerleader" all the time. Guess I'm proud of it.

I've been around the block so many times now that I don't have any rough edges left to knock off.

In all those trips I did learn a few things. One, you have to KNOW a good deal when you see it.

50 cents a day for this much good entertainment? You can't get a Coke out of a machine for that anymore. This is a quality product, packed with fun and it's dirt cheap.

Second, you need to be able to recognize somebody that knows what he's doing and stay the fork out of the way.

You wouldn't interrupt Michaelangelo when he's doing the ceiling of the chapel, would ya?

Stand back and watch.. pass him a new brush if you see his old one failing. You see something that might help, wait till he's drawing a breath and make a respectful suggestion.

DO NOT stand there and tell him "angels had bigger primary feathers on their wings... I read it in a book".

HTC is a dedicated bunch of fine folks. I salute them all!

(Rah! Rah! Raaaah!)
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

If I didn't the enjoy the game so much, I wouldn't spend so much time wanting it to be even better  ;)

It is a great game, no matter how much everyone whines.

You saw that in a book? Which book?

I'll have you know Michæl rescinded that ordinance as soon as he was made head of the RLM.

Now, where's my 20mm sword of Damocles, *that's* what I want to know!

"Nomitated for whine of the week"

Batdog: It wasn't the "This game sucks" message that irritated me was  acctualy some players who have been around a while.

To all: Please understand that I want to have fun in the arena when im playing. Every day I come to this board and wade threw different issues, some are whines, some are different view points, some is just plane squeaking, some is just plane fun posting.

Perodicly I come into the arena on BLUE channel and answere as many questions as I can to try to keep our communication up with our customers.

I also come into the arena after hours to get an ACM fix after work. So last night im up, Doing a back door strike against the Knits, 2 min from troop drop whels spots me on sector cnt's comes up in a tiffie and kills me, I <S> him on being able to track me and being able to stop the back door attack.
At this time I'm immersed in the game haveing a blast.

Then 2 extreamly rude indivdules tell me That my death wouldn't have happened if I would change sector counters to not work for people below radar.

I'm now torn between tell these guys off or being polite and telling them to catch me on BLUE.
Guess what work comes back into my mind, Im no longer having fun, and it's time to log off.

For me creating AH is a passion. But I can't be working on it all the time, So please when I'm flying view me as just another player. Keep the desire to tell me about your current game change wishes in check.

HiTech

Incidently, these two individuals are wrong, you would have been spotted on the associated "DOT DAR within 25 miles diameter of airbase, with no BAR DAR under 500 feet". That's the beauty of the concept, sneakies still won't happen, it just allows one to get deep behind enemy lines before being detected 1/2 hour ahead of time.

Hope these two didn't spoil your ongoing analysis of the dar bar situation.  :(

Sounds like a couple of rude bums. As rip said, I hope this doesn't affect your ongoing analysis of the radar.

BTW, driving a goon into a field from a long ways off has gotta be bad for the heart. I can feel it beating in my throat when I'm trying to stay hidden from bad guys on the final approach.  :)

HiTech,

Alot of new players are just not familiar with the long standing blue text/grey text rule. Whatever happened to that neat sysop popup ya had that told people not to bother ya when you are grey texted?

I know that you know it's unusual to have access to the "CREATOR" in most these games, hell, in most user software, so it's kinda understandable that people wanna ask ya questions and voice opinions to the one man who can decide thier favorite plane will get added or a feature will get implemented.

I'm not saying it's okay to flood your screen with white text, but am saying I can understand some of the consumers' zeal.

And I reckon thier might be some hero worship going on as well, you did WBs, and now AH, the two top multiplayer flightsims and that is impressive.

Also I'm sure a main reason people pester ya to be able to post on the UBB the next day, "I talked to HT about ______ and he said _______ so..." which then lends weight to thier particular position on the posted topic.

Personally, I enjoy the opportunity to shoot at the "CREATOR"  and hope ya find a way to avoid the frustration ya sometimes feel towards the consumer that causes ya to logoff.

I think I've fragged your bellybutton one time in the MA. Needless to say I'd like to do it again.

I hope to collect PYRO, SUPERFLY and NATEDOG's kills too.

Hey! What are the chances of getting the HTC crew to log on together and give us the opportunity to shoot at ya's in the DA?

Milnko, If it was new players they would have gotten a normal please catch me in blue, these were players that have been around quite a while.

And btw the fun of collecting my skin is one resone I don't wish to fly with a different game id.

Thanks for the inpub Milnko.

"So please when I'm flying view me as just another player. Keep the desire to tell me about your current game change wishes in check."

I for one always have. I hope they heed your request.

BTW, the other night I could only get an assist on you during the land assault you were part of on A5(?). Anyway I was nailing you left and right from my position on the base ack but never enough to kill whatever it was you were in. That was a fun battle for the time it lasted.   :)

For xbat: I've always been pretty quick to praise and congratulate the HTC folks for thier efforts and superb work with AH. To the point I'm probaly considered an AH "fan boi."  But personally when I have something to question, complain or comment about it usualy has been thought out on my part and it's not just a knee jerk whine  ;)
