So my xbox gets the red ring of death so i take it back to bestbuy/geeksquad. I had like 10 days left on my waranty. The geek squad guy tells me to go pick any xbox i want. But there are only 60gig ones and my old one was a 20. He lets me take the 60 gig without paying anything! He frogot to take out the games that came with it but he took out the cords because i only brought my consle and hard drive. I made out like a bandit without paying anything! :D

I had a buddy that took the stuff (office 2007) he got off of Microsoft club live back to Best buy.  He would get $400 of store credit.  He was one crazy SOB.

maybe won't lose his job, but it's retail so he will have to make up the difference, so i hope that makes you feel good zoo!  :devil

Nah they most likely wont even notice.

Karma on the other hand is going to take something away from you for it.  Just take care of that kitteh in a basket, and watch out for finger nails in your cheerios

no no Fishu, you have it all wrong sir, undeserving persons may spend the later years of their lives doing bad stuff without having to worry about it. I'm with you there, i rekon, although i deserved half my life for sure so far. Karma is training us to be serial killers.

Doubt it. To a big store like BestBuy, the difference between a 60gig and a 20 gig is nothing. If it were 120, MAYBE there might be ramifications, but I still doubt it. As for the free games, what do they care? Once they hand you the new one, its a write-off to them.

Maybe the person that let him take it was a Manager trying to keep a customer satisfied by providing good customer service, and gave him the extras to show same. I know its rare now adays, but i hold out hope its still out there.
