Hmmm Lanc's props are bend as if they were turning but 17's are not??? Was 17 parked when the "Tommy" ran over him LOL

I would say, from the position of the two aircraft that there is no way that the B-17G could be responsible for that.  The Lancaster has run up the B-17s right wing.  The B-17s right wing is between the Lancaster's landing gear.

No way the 17 coulda done that.

Lanc was the one in motion.

As much as I hate to admit it. I do believe that one of my four fathers did drive into a fortress. I would like to formaly apologise on behalf of the people of great britian.

After this insident all Lancaster pilots where put on compulsary "Yank Avoidance" Courses.

BTW, the B-17 was scrapped, but the Lanc was repaired and put on active service.

Unfortunately, the Lancaster was involved in another collision, but that one took place in the air and the plane was destroyed.
