Flew with Rooks tonight for a bit
« on: January 26, 2009, 12:34:45 AM »
Don't think I was quite welcome. They wanted me to fly over a knit flak. :rofl :rofl Anyway thanks for tolerating me for a bit. You folks did a great job of defending 96 from Knits. Knits came in at alt with about 30 or 40 in the mission. Plus they were doing that at a couple of different areas of the map. They threw everything they had at you and you you stood your ground. I tried to help but I don't think I did much good.

If a fun opportunity presents itself I will be back around.

Tomcat, was good to see you. Hope your night was a good one.  :salute

it is cool to swap countries every now and again,

To even up numbers, fly with enemies and dispel all of those stereotypical myths that each country holds for one another.

I will probably take a mini tour of knits as well.

I had a good time at 96. Got into a bit of a fight with Discobud. He did some nice moves but I've seen them so much I anticipate them. Didn't get the kill but it was fun. I kept looking over my shoulder because it lasted so long and there were so many knights in the air that I figured I would get picked. Never happened. Almost got picked by a knit 262 and a pony on an earlier run. How the 262 missed me I will never know. Where was my SA! Was chasing a pony and noticed the pony kind of straightening out. Seen that before so I quickly looked behind me and sure enough another pony was on my 6. Made a lame flat turn and could tell his e was right for the snap shot and yep was right. He got my pilot. Made it back to base barely. Passed out on landing but when I came to I was still on my wheels and rolled to cement. Successful landing.

It's always nice going to a different country. Meet up with old friends, wing with 'rivals' etc.

The ones about those other guys are true.

Eny for Rooks in Blue the other night was like 13, so I joined Nits (I'm not a frikkkin IDIOT, after all) and flew with those guys for a few hours, winged with them, exchanged many check-6's (they had 50% the numbers of Bish or Rook) and quite enjoyed killing the punks who gravitate toward the easiest target, and sadly, included many of my teammates
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers
